Why I hate freelancing

Was having this conversation with a client of mine.

I was explaining to them why they needed to expand their product line. My most profitable product… the one that’s responsible for a good 40-50% of what I earn — has paid for my house, my truck…

All kinds of gadgets.

Kid’s birthdays and Christmases.

Making my wife still love me… 😀

This one product… I’ve tracked it and, for several years now, it’s consistently been my biggest money-maker. But, I made it 6-7 years ago. I’ve made a few updates to it over the years, but nothing major.

I’ve probably spent a total of 10-15 hours maintaining it in that time.

It’s virtually hands-off at this point.

And earns me tens of thousands per year… all on its own.

THAT is what I’m talking about when I say “leverage”. Leveraging your *knowledge* to create evergreen products and services that don’t require your time. So, you snap that “time-for-money” paradigm.

And open yourself up to unlimited revenue potential.

For a lot of freelancers, it’s the missing link.

Because as wonderful as freelancing is…

And, it IS wonderful.

It’s still NOT the most leveraged position you can be in.

So, it’s kind of a love/hate relationship.

Yet… freelancers are perfectly positioned to add the type of product I mentioned to your existing offerings. That’s one of the big things I show you how to do in the Ascension Matrix.

How to add leveraged products and services to your existing offers.

To open yourself up to that unlimited revenue potential.

We’re not talking about 500/hour or 1,000/hour.

I’ve probably earned 50,000/hour or more from the product I mentioned above. Which I know probably sounds a little impossible… but it’s actually not anything “magic” or “one weird trick” -ish.

Stuff you already know, in fact.

But, I show you how to do it…

In a way that fits perfectly with what you’re already doing.

And a way that virtually anyone can do.

Of course, it does take some upfront work and some thought to nail the right product to offer… so probably not something the one-werid-trickers will get all hot and sweaty about. But, if you have a little foresight…

Can be a real “freedom-generator” for you.

Anyway, I teach you what to do in my Ascension Matrix course. That course is now up on Skillshare — but only for a limited time. I’ll be taking it down and selling it on my website for probably around 100 bucks… at the end of June.

So, if you want it while it’s essentially free…

Now is the time.

I’ve added the Ascension Matrix as Lesson #3 in my Let’s Talk Freelance course. The link to that course is here: https://myjohn.us/ascend. If you’re already a Skillshare member, that link will take you right into the course.

Just watch Lesson #3.

If you’re not a Skillshare member, that link will get you access to an exclusive 1-month free trial of Skillshare. This IS an exclusive — so, the only way to get it is through a link like the one above.

Skillshare’s standard trial is just 7 days.

With the trial, you get unfettered access to all 30,000+ courses on their site, including the one above. Every course, every lesson, every PDF, download, etc. You get it all during the trial.

And if you cancel before the trial ends… you don’t pay a penny.

That may appeal to you.

If so, the link to get started, again, is here: https://myjohn.us/ascend

P.S. If you’re a Patron of mine, you’ve already had access to the full course for awhile now. Link to access it is here: https://myjohn.us/patreon

Not only is John a very talented programmer and developer, he is also an excellent communicator. He has a talent for taking complex subjects and communicating them in terms that anyone can understand. This is a rare combination. This ability has enabled me to take my skills and knowledge to the next level. Thank you John for for all that you do.

Sukh Plaha

John is a fantastic and patient tutor, who is not just able to share knowledge and communicate it very effectively – but able to support one in applying it. However, I believe that John has a very rare ability to go further than just imparting knowledge and showing one how to apply it. He is able to innately provoke one’s curiosity when explaining and demonstrating concepts, to the extent that one can explore and unravel their own learning journey. Thanks very much John!
