The idiotic part of Black Friday

I was telling my son Davin this last night.

We’d just traveled from Missouri back to Nebraska. I took this whole week off because… well, I can. And, we were sitting there playing XBox.

And, I told him…

“You know this whole Black Friday thing? Some people are buying up all the deals… while others are the ones offering those deals. Some people are spending while others and earning.”

His response?

“Yeah, but Flamingo is having a Black Friday sale on his merch.”

You win some, you lose some.

But, it is a different way of looking at it. Truth be told, I’ll be out on Black Friday doing the consumer thing, I’m sure. But, I’ll also will be and have been doing the merchant piece. You should be, too!

If you’re not…

If you don’t have your business in place to PROFIT during this time of year…

THAT should be your focus.

Not a new TV because it’s only 98 buqs at Walmart.

Armwrestling people to get yours. It’s a bit idiotic, if you ask me. Because, I think there legitimately is a difference between using this time of year to buy crap you don’t need and that won’t help you advance in your career and life.

And, using it to get the things that will.

Maybe a new piece of business software (that you actually need).

Courses that will help you learn skills you need to grow and get better.

Coaching, consulting — whatever it is.

That’s a helluva lot better use, in my jaded opinion, than adding a 7th TV to your house because you “can” (BTW, you’re talking to the guy who used to have 11 TVs in his 2,000 square foot home because “he could”. So, I’m talking to myself here.)

Anyway, do what you will.

Your life.

Your green.

Live and spend how you want.

It’s not for me to say.

But, if you want to add some career growth to your purchases this year, my courses are discounted by 50% through Monday, November 30th at 11:59pm CST. The discounts are automatically applied at checkout on these pages:

The R2 Protocol (Upwork)

The 5-Figure Formula (Premium Pricing)

The AM2 Protocol (Content Marketing)

And, you can flip from just spending this time of year…

To EARNING, as well.

It’s a life-changing perspective.

John is a fantastic and patient tutor, who is not just able to share knowledge and communicate it very effectively – but able to support one in applying it. However, I believe that John has a very rare ability to go further than just imparting knowledge and showing one how to apply it. He is able to innately provoke one’s curiosity when explaining and demonstrating concepts, to the extent that one can explore and unravel their own learning journey. Thanks very much John!
