Was watching Below Deck on Bravo.
And, this bloated pig on there says, “I wonder what the poor people are doing, today”. As he sits their on a yacht in the middle of the Caribbean. I’m talking pasty white, warts — wouldn’t touch with a 100-ft pole.
Not gonna lie…
As a kid who grew up in a mice-infested trailer house, that rubbed me the wrong way. The jimmies are definitely rustled. But, that’s how these people snicker and laugh at you. That’s what they think of you.
No, not all of them, but more than you might think.
It also tells you something about how rich people think about their muney.
It’s not logical.
It’s not some in-depth analysis of features and benefits… blah. It’s a simple calculation: “Will this increase my status? Will it make me look richer/better/cooler? Will this make me FEEL better than the poor people?”
That’s why they blow muney on stupid cars.
And watches…
And, all kinds of dumb sh*t.
And, they do the same for services, as well. The trick, for you, is crafting a service offering that they see as status-increasing. When you combine the right audience with a “magic bullet” offer, that’s the “magic” formula.
That’s why a famous blogger like Michael Hyatt…
Or a huge publishing company like Inc. Magazine…
Or a business celebrity like Lewis Howes…
Would work with a basically unknown web developer like me. I had something they wanted badly and couldn’t get anywhere else. But, here’s the thing… membership sites like I built… are NOT a magic bullet anymore.
The landscape changes.
New technologies and ideas emerge.
Markets shift.
The skill is about knowing how to constantly identify those magic bullets and tweak your service offers to match them. THAT is what I show you how to do in my 5-Figure Formula course.
It’s very much a “teach you how to fish not just give you the fish” type of thing.
Which, frankly, ain’t for everybody.
Some people want gimmicks and “hacks”.
But, if you’re the kind of person that wans to “eat” for a lifetime, this is the kind of skill that can give you that. Takes thought. Takes effort. It’s not some magic “trick” — despite the name — but it does work.
Anyway, if that’s you, you can enroll here:

P.S. I also should say, for the record, that I’ve spent most of my adult life on an “eff them rich people” vibe. There are advantages and disadvantages to that, but it does keep you pretty motivated. BUT, this isn’t about screwing anybody over.
As dumb as some of these people are and as tempting as that might be, it’s not a good long-term strategy. This is about genuinely helping people. The nice part about being a freelancer is you get to choose who you work with.
So, the bloated pigs that genuinely think that way can take a hike. Anyway, do with that what you will. Just a random thought I had while writing this.
