Here’s a toast to the next recession

Was reading a Ben Settle email the other day…

And, he said something that’d make most people, even hard core, Bernie Madoff-types, soil their pantalones. He was talking about a client he’d work with several years back in the aftermath of the housing crisis.

And how that guy drooled over recessions.

He almost wished they’d happen.

Here’s what Ben wrote:

“Early on we started talking about the economy, and he said: ‘Direct response marketers love recessions, this is when we make all the money.’ Yes, hardcore direct marketers (and clients) don’t spend less during bad times. They spend more. They don’t hold back on

learning how to get more sales. They splurge on MORE of said info.”

And, as I’ve told you…

It’s not just direct response marketers.

Amazon, Nintendo, Clorox…

These companies all saw tremendous growth during the pandemic. Winners and losers — happens every time. There are also people, like me, who invest wisely during these recessions and make out like a bandit.

Anyway, my point is this…

I want to snap the loser mindset you may have in how you think about these things. It ain’t all doom and gloom, sweetie. There’s tremendous opportunity in these downturns IF you know where to look and what to do — and how to take advantage.

In fact, it’s one of the greatest advantages you have as a freelancer.

When times are tough… find the winners and ride their coat tails.

Easy squeezy.

It’s also happens to be one of the things I show you in my Cold Email Method course. How to find the fat cat clients, who are doing well and looking to grow and expand during a recession or downturn.

Not shrivel up like a… ahem… in freezing cold water.

The ability to *find* these people, alone, is a massive advantage.

But then, knowing how to contact them and get them to hire you.

Bruh…. c’mon!
