This cost me 4 years of my life…
4 years I could have been doing what I loved for a living…
4 years I could have been living well instead of struggling to make ends meet…
4 years further down the road to success I could be right now…
I regret those 4 years every day of my life because the mistake I was making is SO easy to solve… and it was a mistake I didn’t have to make.
In this episode of the John Morris Show, I’m going to share with you what that mistake, why almost EVERY coder makes it, and how to quickly get over it.

I like this episode. I have a little bit of knowledge and I’m inspired to get started, but how does one find a client?
Very passionate podcast. Thank you for letting me listen to it for free. It’s very useful for me personally and I agree with you in most parts. I appreciate that you brought these issues up to the surface, since it wasn’t talked about elsewhere. It’s very valuable to the community.
If you happen to want to revise this material or consider what to offer next, I have a few comments.
– The podcast is a bit too long. You can probably drive the message across in 10-15 minutes. It will make me feel less reluctant to click play and more comfortable to share the material.
– I think the examples can be more specific. As someone who has not taken any client before, I understand what you are talking about but has no clue how it is possible. How much do I really need to know really? (You gotta know something). Given little things that we know, what do we do to get client? (What did you brother do?) Do we build targeted portfolio to go bid of oDesk? Go work with some agency? I’m sure many of these may come in future podcast, but some short discussions would make this podcast more helpful.
I’ll surely stick around, listening to all of your podcasts. I like these stuff. I think the world of coding will be much more productive if we talk about these issues more. I’m truly glad I found you today. Thank you and keep it coming!
