Breathing through your rectum

Was reading this article in the New York Times.

It was about a study, just published in the academic journal, Med, where Japaneses researchers tested delivering oxygen-filled enemas to severely oxygen-deprived mice and pigs (yes, this is real, haha).

And it worked.

The animals had been laying down because they were too oxygen-deprived to move. The skin of the pigs had become discolored. But, a few minutes after the enema, the color returned in the pigs.

The mice got up and start walking around.

And they went back to “normal” for the most part.

They were basically able to bypass the lungs…

And deliver oxygen straight to the animal’s bloodstream.

F***ing wild!

The study was done in reaction to COVID. The lead researcher, Dr. Takanori Takebe, has a father with lung disease. And, as COVID hit and the talk of ventilator shortages came up… he freaked and was motivated to find alternatives.

Of course, it took a ton of trial and error.

And, several different approaches before they got to this.

But, they actually got it work.

Now, you might be wondering…

John, what in Sam Hill does this have to do with me and my freelance career? Well, think about it. Do you think Takebe gets to this breakthrough if he weren’t pursuing his absolute essence — what he was destined to do with this life?

Forgot all the hard work figuring this out…

And, all the research and mental work.

How many of his colleagues do you think laughed in his face? Told him he was crazy. This will never work. Do you really think he gets through all that without the DGAF attitude you develop when you’re doing what you’re meant to?

Me no think so.

So, when I tell you…

“The secret to nearly limitless productive power.”

And you roll your eyes or think I’m being hypey. I’m staring back at you, as serious as an oxygen-laced enema… “I’m not f***ing around.” You see people all around you producing and creating at what seems like a nakedly impossible level.

Yet, there they are.

What do they know?

What do they do?

Well, consider this from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson:

“Success at anything will always come down to this: focus and effort. And we control both.”

Can you give maximum focus and effort if you’re not 100% into the thing you’re doing? I’ll answer. No, you can’t. You might be able to give 60% or 80%… and that might lead to a certain level of success in your life.

But, never 100%

Because your mind will always wander… back to your true love.

The thing you WISH you could be doing.

The problem for most people… they know this. You can feel it as you try doing other things that aren’t your true love — your essence. But, they don’t know how to take the thing they love and make it their job.

“It’s not practical.”

“No one will pay for this.”

We’ve been brainwashed by parents, teachers, political leaders, academics… “Be practical. Go to school. Get a good job. That’s the key to happiness.” Meanwhile, most of us are miserable.

I was when I decided to sell my 2,000-sqft home…

And build a tiny house in the boonies.

And I’ve never been happier since.

In any case, this is where I come in. I can teach you how to take your true love and turn it into a commercially-viable freelance service. I don’t care what it is — it can be shoving air bubbles up a pig’s arse for all I care.

You can find a way to make it your job.

Sure, it take some thinking…

And some creativity…

And some mental effort.

But, it can be done. And, I’ve put together a series of exercises to help you do it. That’s what Part 1 of my Freelance Feast course contains. Because to maximize what you earn, you first have to fully unlock your productive power.

Maximizing what you earn isn’t about some “trick” or gimmick.

It’s about being fully, 100% YOU in every moment.

It’s also the secret to deep, fulfilling happiness.

Anyway, if you want to give this a shot… I’ve put Part 1 up on Skillshare to give everybody a crack at it and give you a risk-free way to give it a try. The course is listed as Lesson #3 here:

If you’re a Skillshare member, that’ll take you right in.

If not, that’ll trigger an exclusive, teacher-only, 14-day free trial of Skillshare. What you can do, if it tickles your tootsies, is start the trial, take the course (and any of the other 30,000+ you’ll get access to)…

Then, cancel before the 14 days is up…

And you end up never paying a penny.

Up to you, but might be worth it to you.

But, fair warning, at the end of May I’ll be taking the course off Skillshare and selling it exclusively on my own website — for probably around $150 or so. So, if you want it now while you can essentially get it for free…

I recommend you do it now.

Don’t wait until the last minute.

Rush, forget… all that.

Anyway, link again is here:

P.S. As usual, for my Patreon people… you, of course, get access to everything (including the stuff not publicly available anywhere else), so you already have access. You can find Part 1 of the course here:

John is a fantastic and patient tutor, who is not just able to share knowledge and communicate it very effectively – but able to support one in applying it. However, I believe that John has a very rare ability to go further than just imparting knowledge and showing one how to apply it. He is able to innately provoke one’s curiosity when explaining and demonstrating concepts, to the extent that one can explore and unravel their own learning journey. Thanks very much John!
