I’ve been doing this a long time.
I started on the internet over 15 years ago. I was also just a few years into my military career at that time. Growing up in those two worlds at the same time was a bit surreal. It was also a big advantage.
I can’t tell you how many New Year’s…
I sat down and laid out my evil plan for the next year.
All the amazing things I was going to do.
THIS year was always going to be “the year”.
And like most people… it never happened. I lasted a week or two and I was back to my old habits. And, at the exact same time, I was playing soldier. Interacting with some of the highest-achieving people on the planet.
Army Rangers, Green Berets… the “elite of the elite” in the military.
These guys ate goals for breakfast.
And so, I figured…
Why not just look at what they do?
Figure out how they think…
And just do that.
And, for me, that’s what made the difference.
I started to figure out that underneath the bravado of “just suck it up” and the rah-rah about “discipline” and toughness… there were actual differences in technique. Things they did that I’d never thought of and I didn’t see most people doing.
Differences in how they set their goals.
The plans they develop for achieving those goals.
Who they incorporate into their plans and who they don’t.
I began writing these things down and testing them out in my own life. My business changed. I got healthier. I was more focused and driven. And, more than anything, I didn’t have to just yell at myself harder or drown myself in guilt.
It’s these same techniques I used…
To build my home with my own two hands a few years back.
While running a 6-figure freelance business…
And homeschooling my two boys.
They are the foundation of everything I achieve… because, the truth is, no matter what you want to do in life, it’s going to require focus, motivation and persistence. You’re going to have to overcome procrastination…
And all the internal things that hold you back.
That’s the “secret” nobody likes to talk about.
Nothing matters if you don’t take consistent action.
Anyway, I codified all these techniques I used into a simple, 10-minute system I implement in my daily life to keep my focused and motivated and pushing aggressively day in and day out.
Even on the days I don’t feel like it.
And, I’ve packed it up and put it into a new course called:
