Another freelancer joins Johnny’s dark side

Got this YouTube comment from Kodbazis:

Hi John. I follow you since 2016.

You motivated me right from the start, to pursue a carreer in web development.

Now, after years of working in the field, I started to sell my online courses. 🙂

I’m going to jam about this a lot more in my June 2021 course called, “The Ascension Matrix”, but it’s a relevant point:

Freelancing is *not* the destination.

It’s a stepping stone down the path of what I call a “Knowledge Vendor” — someone who makes their living primarily based on what they *know* NOT what they *do* physically. Take digging ditches, for example.

That’s mostly brawn, very little brain.

Trust me… I used to do it.

One of my first jobs was literally digging ditches for 8-10 hours a day. It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure it out. Anyway, the flip side of that equation is closer to what I do now. I put my knowledge into a course once.

And sell it over and over and over.

Work once. Benefit indefinitely.

Although, that still isn’t the ultimate “ascension”.

More on that in the course, though.

Anyway, point being… if you’re not moving forward, you’re standing still. If you want to create maximum leverage (and profit) from what you *know* you have to keep “ascending” like our boy, Kodbazis, here.

That said, ascension is a process.

Skipping steps creates a lot of *pain*.

Again, trust me, I f’d this all up.

And it cost me years of progress.

(Which is WHY I’m creating the course. To save YOU all that pain.)

But… if you’re not yet freelancing, looking to get started or trying to break free and freelance full-time, then your focus should be on freelancing and freelancing alone. It’s only after you crack that egg that you can painlessly “ascend” to the next level.

Enter my Freelance Feast course.

There are three fundamental activities that will determine all your success as a freelancer. Do them well and you can almost write your own check. Don’t do all three or do them poorly and you’ll always struggle.

I’ve seen it first-hand.

I’ve watched everybody else get caught up in all the latest fads.

Chasing bright, shiny objects.

And suddenly disappearing from the web as they sulk back to their day job.

While I’ve been cracking away for over 17 years now. No, I don’t have the biggest YouTube following. I’m not an Instagram “influencer”. You won’t find me on any TV shows or podcasts. But, in my little niche…

I’m King d***.

And that’s kept me fed for a helluva long time now.

And, it’s because I’ve kept my eyes on the fundamentals.

And “run ’em” day in and day out.

In any case, the course will teach you these fundamentals. As you know by now, it’s up on Skillshare — but only for a few more days. Then it comes off Skillshare and I’ll sell it on my website for around $150 or so.

So, if you want it while it’s still essentially free…

Time’s a tickin’, bucko.

Go here:

If you’re already a Skillshare member, that will take you right into the course. If not, that will give you access to an exclusive 14-day trial of the platform where you get 100% unfettered access to the entire course library on Skillshare.

Every course, every video, every PDF, every download, etc.

And if you cancel before the 14 days is up…

You don’t pay a penny.

Yep. A few hoops to jump through, but will save you $150 on my course alone — so might be worth it to you. Anyway, up to you. Come June 1st, though, it comes off Skillshare. So, getting down to crunch time.

Link, again, is here:

P.S. For Patrons of mine — you get access to everything past, present and future — you can find the course here:

John is a fantastic and patient tutor, who is not just able to share knowledge and communicate it very effectively – but able to support one in applying it. However, I believe that John has a very rare ability to go further than just imparting knowledge and showing one how to apply it. He is able to innately provoke one’s curiosity when explaining and demonstrating concepts, to the extent that one can explore and unravel their own learning journey. Thanks very much John!
