Been watching Mindhunter on Netflix.
If you haven’t seen it, it’s about how the FBI developed its criminal profiling technique back in the 70s. Anyway, in season 2, they finally get to interview Charles Manson. It’s a wild scene.
But, the one that stuck out to me is the one after.
With Tex Watson.
He was one of Manson’s “family”.
And, the guy who did the actually murdering of Sharon Tate and the others at her house. The way he talked ABOUT Manson. How Manson was able to train and persuade them to commit the murders.
A lot of people shy away from this stuff.
I dig into it.
I mean… think about it. What do you say to someone to convince them to commit multiple murders? How does that conversation go? Or take Hitler, for example. How did he convince a whole nation to go to war with the world?
It’s certainly not glorifying these people.
They’re monsters.
But, it’s intriguing.
Anyway, one of the things both Manson and Tex Watson talk about is what Manson called “Helter Skelter”. Manson’s “vision” of the race war that was going to take place and how his family was going to survive it.
Eerily enough, this is a technique I’ve used for years to motivate myself.
To find purpose is my day-to-day work.
Nothing crazy or “culty”.
But, a powerful technique you can use for good.
Anyway, I just posted the first episode in my new Audio Newsletter where I talk about this technique and how to use to stay focused and motivated — and to find purpose in what you’re doing.
BUT!
You can only get access to the episode inside my Training Portal. This won’t be posted on YouTube or my podcast, etc. In fact, I’m deading those channels going forward. All my content will now only be available inside the Portal.

Oh and I’ve made these pages ultra mobile-friendly… so, if you’re on your phone, don’t worry… it’s not going to be like getting Edmund Kemper to shut up. 😉
Later,
